I can never say enough about the desperate need of
especially as regards young children: boys & girls.

1.2 million children per year
trafficked for an estimated
10 billion dollars

This is an issue that God has impressed upon my heart since the summer of 2007 and I have been researching about "it" ever since then.  I shared on one organization PROJECT RESCUE here most recently but there are other posts but this one is new to me from the WOMEN INSPIRED CONFERENCE!

This is taken directly from the site of CYRUS INTERNATIONAL. For more information and many other options please go directly to their site and view the videos & much more.

"What is Cyrus International?"

Click here to view an introductory video on Cyrus International.

The conception of Cyrus International began in 2001 when one businessman began to embrace the vision inside his heart to impact humanitarian organizations around the world.  With only $50 a month to give, he faithfully supported two different organizations that were dedicated to bringing help to hurting people.  As this man gave consistently each month, his businesses and resources began to multiply.  Soon, other business people with the same dream to impart social justice throughout their world came alongside him to help fund these humanitarian efforts.

Since 2001, these visionaries have given millions of dollars to global aid by supporting hundreds of organizations every month.  Then, in 2007, Cyrus International officially formed and is a public charity committed to providing HOPE by Helping Oppressed People Everywhere.  In order to confidently promote specific organizations, Cyrus extensively researches the ones it supports not only through relational references and onsite visits, but also through accountability of the allocations of funds.

As you move through this website, you can become familiar with a few of the major humanitarian projects Cyrus is presently focusing upon.  The oppression and destitution of people across the globe is alarming, heartbreaking, and overwhelming.  No one person can possibly make enough of an impact to bring about the needed change.  But together, united as an army for social justice, we can stand shoulder to shoulder…demanding change while offering HOPE.

Partner with us.  Join the battle cry for the hurting, the starving, and the oppressed.  Commit yourself to become a HOPE giver.

"Cyrus's Global Hope Projects

Cyrus International is committed to materially partnering with many international outreach organizations.

They form all of their partnerships with common goals in mind: to promote and provide better lives for hurting people around the world; to be the leader in awareness and assistance with programs designed to end the human trafficking trade in the United States and abroad; orphaning due to disease and poverty; and inner city and urban abuse, addiction and violence.

Some of their partners include the following organizations.

I would like to share some of the articles from my March newsletter from PROJECT RESCUE!

Project Rescue's purpose:
Project Rescue's journey began in 1997 when K.K. Devaraj, an Indian National, and members of his Bombay Teen Challenge organization went into the Falkland Road red-light district in Mumbai, India with a passion to reach the young generation that was ensnared in drugs, gangs, and prostitution. The task force was stunned by what was there: a tragic city of over 100,000 women and girls, many of whom had been sold into sexual slavery by their impoverished families in North India and Nepal.

In that first encounter, they inspired over 100 young women to escape and find a new life in Jesus Christ. They were also given an additional 32 little girls by enslaved sex workers who hoped to prevent their young daughters from sharing their dark fate.

TO READ MORE please go here:

Here are some of their Related News Articles (just click on the title and you'll be linked to the article):

The video here is so very sad and eye opening, please let us at least pray for Pross and young girls like her. If we cover our eyes, and turn away, we, too are responsible for this rampant demand and growth of this atrocity of human trafficking & sex slavery.

See a Photo Essay here from UNICEF:

The author above had skeptics that responded to his articles, not believing that it is as bad or forced as he is saying...I must tell you that it is much worse; because it is multiplied by many young ones suffering in this way and being used in this degrading practice as a commodity for tourists...and it has reached to the youngest. By the way, it is not just young girls. In mexico, I have heard of many young boys as well.

We must stand up and DO something by speaking up for the innocent, the victims...those who Jesus wants protected. We must be Jesus & protect these young lives to know their value!

Jesus said:

Mark 10:14 Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. 16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Mt 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Mt 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Mt 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

This is from an email from MEXICO AG.

It is so well written and true that we all need to be on our knees praying for Mexico and all that this violence & corruption will do. Mexico is not only our neighbors but also precious brothers & sisters in Christ. The reading is from prophecy (which I have been reading, which made this so real to me) I totally agree so the response here is also prophetic. Much will be happening in the coming years as Felipe Calderon takes on these drug cartels, which by the way, are being supplied by USA. Not only in the purchase of the drugs but also the arms for them to defend their cartels. It's truly appalling that we don't help. So I'm calling on you to PRAY!

Intercessory Prayer for Mexico

Again the word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, say to the land, ‘You are a land that has had no rain or showers in the day of wrath.’ There is a conspiracy of her princes within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make many widows within her. Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says’-when the LORD has not spoken. The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the alien, denying them justice.

“I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD.”
–Ezekiel 22:23-31
"You’ll notice in this passage that God points out five levels of society to Ezekiel and reveals the corruption, violence and sin that is destroying each area:
  1. The Princes – these are the highest rulers in the land. God reveals that they are devouring the people, destroying families and taking the wealth of the land.
  2. The Priests – the religious leaders. They do not expose sin and they profane God’s Name, actually turning people away from true righteousness.
  3. The Public Officials – the local leaders. They destroy lives for money.
  4. The Prophets – the spiritual influencers of the land. They give false visions and revelations, helping to hide the true state of sinfulness in the nation.
  5. The People – the masses. They also practice sin, stealing from and mistreating one another.
MexicanWhen I read this passage I immediately think of Mexico. For centuries corruption, greed and violence have destroyed every level of society in this country, from Presidents down to the local store shop owners on every corner. Idolatry, theft, bribery and murder have ravaged this nation. Even now we are seeing another wave of violence and corruption that is destroying lives.
But just as in Ezekiel’s time, God is looking for those who would see what He sees and stand in the gap in intercession so that He can pour out mercy and grace instead of judgment and wrath. Unfortunately for the case with Ezekiel, God “found none”. That has to be one of the most tragic verses in the whole Bible! There was not one person that God could share His heart with, reveal the true situation of the nation to, and who would respond in selfless love to intercede for mercy.
I pray that God would find in you and I people who are willing to receive His burden and His love to stand in the gap on behalf of Mexico. Allow the Holy Spirit to break you and cause you to cry out to God for mercy for every one of these five levels of society.
Pray for:
  1. The President of Mexico – Felipe Calderón. Pray that God would touch him, his family and those in his inner circle of leadership that they would bow their knees to Jesus Christ and rule with righteousness.
  2. The Religious leaders of Mexico. Pray for Catholic Priests to have a revelation of the Risen Lord! Pray for Pastors of all denominations to rise up and preach truth.
  3. The Local leaders in Mexico. Pray for Senators, Mayors and Municipal Leaders to come to Christ, to govern with righteousness, to turn from bribery and extortion.
  4. The Spiritual Influencers of Mexico. Pray that God would break the back of idolatry and witchcraft in Mexico, that He would shut the mouths of false prophets and raise up true preachers of righteousness in the land.
  5. Pray for the people of Mexico. Pray that God would grant repentance to the people of Mexico, that they would come to a true knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The fate of Mexico is not in the hands of the President, or the Federal Police, or any other organization… it’s in the hands of the Church. May we feel God’s pain and God’s love and be moved to our knees."

In Christ there are many members, but One Body

Since I was not officially blogging this important day slipped by without me acknowledging it here but it certainly is an important theme for all of us to remember and join in prayer.
The women of Papua New Guniea (PNG) ask us to unite as ONE in CHRIST as we join them in celebrating a unity where love is genuine, where good overcomes evil and where we are of ONE HEART & SOUL.[Sorry that I'm late in sharing this important endeavor but it's never to late to PRAY!]

Worldwide Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement led by Christian Women of many traditions who call the faithful together on the first Friday in March each year.

World Day of Prayer March 6, 2009

In Christ there are many Members, but one Body

Written by the women of Papua New Guinea, the 2009 WDP worship service will begin at the first sunrise of March 6, 2009, and will continue until the last sunset. The 2009 service will focus on indigenous women and children's concerns as their communities struggle to maintain their history and culture in an ever-changing world.

Let us think of:

  • PNG's Babies and young children who are dying at high rates leaving communities to struggle with the cause of all these deaths.
  • Violence against women, a longtime issue, is now being challenged by women in order to meaningfully live and take care of their children.
  • Oil companies and corporations reaping benefits from Papua New Guinea’s natural resources while continuing to exploit the land and its people.
  • Environmental degradation and climate change impacting Papua New Guinea’s islands which will soon force indigenous people to move from one island to another seeking safer ground.

The independent state of Papua New Guinea consists of more than 600 islands lying just below the equator on the western side of the Pacific Ocean. The second largest country in the South Pacific, one of Papua New Guinea's most spectacular features is its immense variety of landscape.

From the Highlands Region with its wide ridges of rugged mountains, to its Northern coastlines endowed with remarkable sandy beaches, coral reefs and rich maritime life, to the New Guinea Islands Region with a plethora of geothermal springs and active volcanoes, Papua New Guinea is the land of the unexpected, a land of great natural wealth and astonishing nature.

Papua New Guinea has been described as a "mountain of gold floating on a sea of oil." Although described as poor by United Nations findings, the country is full of natural resources such as gold, silver and natural oil and gas which are all currently being mined and are in production.

Land is the most important resource and an overwhelming majority of people's lives revolve around land. While the majority of Papua New Guineans depend on semi-subsistence agriculture for their livelihood, there are increasing numbers of people who earn a living from operating small scale informal businesses in the urban areas.

Papua New Guinea has one of the most diverse indigenous populations in the world. More than 800 languages are spoken between several thousand separate communities. This diversity is described well in a Papua New Guinean folk saying: "For each village, a different culture." Though much of PNG's communities have experienced isolation due to its rugged terrain, Papua New Guinea continues to experience the spirit of unity in diversity.

As we begin our journey with the women of PNG, we learn about the intricate cultures and social challenges including a worsening violence against women and children, the breakdown of the family structure, a HIV/AIDS epidemic and chronic law and order and land tenure issues. We will ask and seek answers to questions about possibility and justice in PNG. On Friday, March 6, 2009, we welcome the Worshipping Community to join the women of Papua New Guinea.

Let's turn our prayers into action.

Global Food Crisis

Each night • more than 300 million children go to bed hungry ... how can we help?

Please and click on Compassion International and be linked to view one or all 3 of their current videos & reach out to provide HELP along with them.

1/3 of the world's population is undernourished...ONE THIRD!!!

Charles Stanley shared this just this week and certainly is worth reading & soaking in its truth:

The Key to Financial Blessing

We could all use our own personal financial adviser to help us navigate the economic turmoil of our times. And according to the prophet Malachi, we have one--God Almighty. He has a plan worked out for our financial security.

His key to financial blessing is the simple principle of Exodus 23:19: "You shall bring the choice first fruits of your soil into the house of the Lord." In offering God the first of our earnings, we acknowledge that He is the source of everything and we are completely dependent upon Him. Old Testament believers were asked to set aside merely a tithe--or ten percent--of all that the Lord generously gave. Malachi equates keeping God's portion for oneself to robbing the Almighty of what belongs to Him

(Mal. 3:8).

The Lord doesn't need our money, but He knows that we need to give. Doing so with a generous and willing heart displays the character of Christ in our lives.

Remember, Jesus is a giver who gave His life for our salvation.

Generosity is a way to honor and worship the Lord. If our only expression of worship comes from the lips, we are missing the opportunity to demonstrate our love and gratitude for all that God has given us.

You can never out-give your loving heavenly Father. As you obediently offer Him the first part of your income, you'll find that He is faithful to His Word: He will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessing until it overflows (v. 10). In reality, there is greater financial risk in keeping than in giving.

Welcome to MISSION 4 MONDAY!We were made for a mission!
This is where we share MISSIONS that have been placed on our hearts or in our lives.

God has given each of us a purpose & a unique plan to fulfill.

We have many great ideas that need to be shared to encourage others in serving.

Each of us serves where we are, doing what we are doing from blogging to mothering to serving at church, volunteering our time for another, contributing wherever we DO!

Please sign up with MR. LINKY and post a MISSION that is moving you or touching your heart. Then be sure to visit & encourage others in their mission.

If you see someone with a MISSION, encourage them to join us.

Each week on Sunday, I will try to put up a new MR.LINKY for all of you faithful MISSIONs 4 MONDAY bloggers out there, that each week participate or perhaps because you are now inspired to share something new or for the first time.

Please continue in sharing MISSIONS because there are so many "in need" all around us and many of you are writing about YOUR purpose & mission and causes and concerns. This is a place to join them altogether. Let's continue touching other's lives for Jesus!

[Let's see how this works by just adding another Mr. Linky each week since I'm not blogging doesn't mean we all should stop sharing our missions. Thank you for sharing yours!

Too many people believe that HUMAN TRAFFICKING is happening just in other countries but it is happening right where you live: USA! This is already too late for some!

Get involved! Learn all you can! Wake up America
...Rise up and become aware of what you can do.

After viewing this video, you can visit this site for more:

This is a mission that God spoke into my heart here two years ago to learn about and start working to STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING!

And how you can help:

frayedrope How To HelpThank you for your interest in helping Gracehaven reach out to young girls who are victims of sex trafficking in central Ohio. There are many different ways you can partner with Gracehaven in this ministry.

Gracehaven is a 501(c)3 organization that has received tax exempt status from the IRS.

Donate: Follow this link to make a donation to Gracehaven

Volunteer your time and talent at Gracehaven!

Sponsor a girl:

Once Gracehaven is open, you can sponsor a girl for a day, a week, or a month!

Around the house:

Use your God-given ability in construction and maintenance to help them renovate and maintain Gracehaven.

And of course, ALL OF US can share the information and PRAY, CRY OUT TO GOD! Shame is so powerful but it can be broken. This silence needs to be broken! Psychological manipulation is very controlling and holds people captive. It needs to STOP! American born young women do not have the help like we are donating to other countries, who are in greater demand, it is thought.

Please pray for a good response to the "Today Show" appearance of Theresa. Pray that all who are drawn to this topic are able to access the website and find what they are looking for. Please pray that the Lord will bring donors willing to help them make the move to purchase the house and begin renovation! Please pray for more places like GraceHaven & please pray for

Human Trafficking Facts

Every 10 minutes, a woman or child is trafficked into the United States for forced labor.

In 1999, the CIA estimated that 45,000 women and children are trafficked to the United States annually.

Men are also trafficked into forced labor in agriculture, restaurants and other unregulated industries.

Human trafficking has become a $9 billion a year global industry and is increasingly an activity of organized crime.

There are estimated 27 million people living in slavery around the world today.

In 1999, the Department of Justice prosecuted 25 cases of slavery. In 2000, 76 cases were prosecuted. Currently, there are 120 cases open for investigation.

In October 2000, the United States enacted the most comprehensive modern-day anti-slavery legislation in the world, offering significant protection to victims. It is called the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000.

Currently, there is not one shelter for trafficked persons in the United States. (according to CAST but praise God for Gracehaven)!

CAST is the only organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to serving trafficked persons.
