BROWN BAGS and JESUS

I just discovered this over the weekend. Now this truly is MISSIONS! Please visit their site and learn how they are truly the hands and feet of Jesus to many...not in a foreign field but right in the USA. ( I think Sherry from A Journey Back does/did a ministry that is similar)

There are places like this and people like these near where you live. Why not talk with your church about doing something like this? Or if you don't or can't with your community or church, why not see how you can be a part of this ministry by going here or HERE or even here?

I told you when I started Mission 4 Monday that there are so many MISSIONS waiting to be filled by YOU! You were made for a MISSION! God has a PURPOSE for you right where you are. Denise @ Shortybear's Place showed this over & over each week with great ideas that are available for you to be JESUS right there! Let's BE JESUS & share & show we care!

Peggy,
I just finished Crazy Love by Francis Chan and you know the question IS, "are we being the hands and feet of Christ?" It convicted me so much...what a powerful reminder to serve the needs of those who are RIGHT around us...we just often don't want to see it and we are called to open our eyes...

wonderful posts!
thank you for reinforcing what God has been laying on my heart!

hugs,

Peggy, thank you so much for posting this, Brown Bags And Jesus has been a true blessing for my family. I want to say to your readers, if you want to start a mission but not sure how to go about it, make 25 brown bag lunches and 25 bottled waters and take them to the closest metropolis on a hot sunny day, park where you see a couple of homeless people, and I promise more will show up. You will leave a changed person and you will kow for certain that God has something for you! To see more of what we do each week, visit our website.

Thank you so much, Justin

Mission 4 Monday sadly ended last year as a meme, but I continue to share here and I know others also share various MISSIONS, especially the people above. Check them out!!! Encourage and perhaps join us.
Since my life is a MISSION, I share whenever I can. There are many of you, who do community involvement/church events, volunteer opportunities or know missionaries that you could share to motivate others. Motherhood and Homeschooling are MISSIONS and callings!!!
Each of these are MISSIONS and important to encourage others.
If you are doing something or share someone's MISSION on your blog, please leave your info in the comments anytime! Hopefully others will notice & come visit. THANKS!
