MAZATLAN CARNAVAL in Previous Years

WELCOME to MISSION 4 MONDAY
where we share MISSIONS on our heart
or in our lives

BASIC TRAINING PROGRAM OF EVANGELISM
by Dale P. Kruse

DAY 1 in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico in Carnaval(English subtitles)

DAY 2

Day 3 was disenabled but you can see it at YouTube here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_S_RfMWiOU

If you missed my previous posts on Carnaval, you may not understand this but I'm going to be very busy for these next couple of weeks, first in prayer then in action...Carnaval starts this Thursday until the following Wednesday-Ash Wednesday-please keep Mazatlan & souls in your prayer especially all who are ministering God's love to these very stubborn "sinners" indulged in their "carne"(flesh). I guess for some reason, the enemy's already at work here because it's making these videos unavailable to view...if you go to this YouTube page you can choose one or view http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WsBDjnUfvM

or just go back to Amazing Grace~Mazes, Messes, Miracles and hopefully you can view one there

PRAY for "LOVE that makes a way" rather than "indifference that looks for an excuse"!
PRAY for opened hearts, ears & eyes...rather than closed, hardened ones of many that are set in their way! PRAY for lives to be open to the Truth of Jesus setting them free! May chains fall!

COUNTDOWN TO CARNAVAL

Blessings and WELCOME to MISSION 4 MONDAY!

I am so blessed by all the beautiful "missions" that I am finding when I'm out reading blogs and just can't understand why people don't come here & share.
[So I will be linking many today that I saw: some I asked permission & others I did not. I apologize if you are one that I did not ask your permission, but you all have been invited]

Here I am today, just "clowning" around as we get ready for an enormous
EVANGELIZATION
opportunity here in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico
"CARNAVAL"
similar to Mardi Gras
February 19th -24th, 2009

The following is from YWAM base here in Mazatlan, where I taught in 2008 and will be "clowning" with the Clown Ministry from Mexico City, D.F. when they arrive, I hope [Uriel Cervantes...I'm waiting to hear from you]

but onto more serious matters, won't you join us...

Countdown to Carnaval - Part 2
Here's an outline of the intercessory prayer that God is calling us to in preparation for Carnaval. As we've been praying for this upcoming season, we felt God directing us to begin interceeding for the city 40 days before the start of Carnaval on February 19, 2009. As some of you may know, Carnaval is a celebration of the flesh before the 40 days of Lent, which is for Catholics a time of giving up  ... READ MORE by clicking

Countdown to Carnaval
Saturday, January 10th, marked 40 days until the beginning of Carnaval 09!  Since Carnaval is a time of celebrating the "carnal" things before the 40 days of Lent, we felt it would be good to come in the opposite spirit and have 40 days of prayer and fasting before Carnaval.  We are asking God for direction of what to pray each week and even each day.  This first week is shorter, Saturday through Wednesday.  From then on our prayer calender will be starting on Thursdays until the Thursday that Carnaval itself begins.

We believe God gave us a theme for the first week, "Open the Doors".  He then showed us some specific 'doors', things that are keeping us from or will keep us from receiving the blessings and strengths that God has for us in this coming season of Carnaval.  We want to intercede and prepare the way for these doors to be open and let people walk through to be blessed and reached with the love of God.  To break down these doors we need to come in the opposite spirit of each one.

Here are our specific prayer items for each week:

- Saturday January 10th:  Apathy /
Action and Passion
Hebrews 5:7 "During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission."

- Sunday January 11th:  Unbelief /
 Faith
Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

- Monday January 12th:  Poverty /
Provision - specifically in Health and Finances

- Tuesday January 13th:  Division /
Unity
Ephesians 4:4 "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called."

- Wednesday January 14th:  Selfishness /
Generosity
2 Corinthians 8:13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. 14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, 15 as it is written: "The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little."

EVEN THOUGH THE DATES ABOVE HAVE PAST, PRAYER IN THIS DIRECTION IS NEEDED RIGHT THROUGH THE DATES OF CARNAVAL & AFTER FOR THE SEEDS PLANTED & LIVES SAVED FROM "PERISHING". PLEASE JOIN ME IN PRAYER FOR YWAM'S MANY OUTREACHES HERE IN MAZATLAN in particular. Brent & Heather will truly appreciate it.

Mission 4 Monday sadly ended last year as a meme, but I continue to share here and I know others also share various MISSIONS, especially the people above. Check them out!!! Encourage and perhaps join us.
Since my life is a MISSION, I share whenever I can. There are many of you, who do community involvement/church events, volunteer opportunities or know missionaries that you could share to motivate others. Motherhood and Homeschooling are MISSIONS and callings!!!
Each of these are MISSIONS and important to encourage others.
If you are doing something or share someone's MISSION on your blog, please leave your info in the comments anytime! Hopefully others will notice & come visit. THANKS!
