Isaiah 61:3

and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.

* just to go along with post "BEAUTY for ASHES" a beautiful ministry, I shared a link to below.

" can change your world because Christ has changed you"

I have been missing out on so many events or happening to STOP TRAFFICKING! Most important was a recent SENATE HEARING.

I was made aware of this through the blog of a ministry BEAUTY FOR ASHES. At these posts: HERE and HERE most recent

Watch the entire 2/24/10 Human Rights & Law Subcommittee Senate Hearing HERE

At state & local levels children are being arrested and prosecuted for prostitution, in conflict to federal law. Comprehensive services are desperately needed. Sexually exploited children are not criminals, they are victims and needed to treated as such!

I also missed National Human Trafficking Awareness Day in January 2010 and the whole month was "National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month."

Then there was a Radio Program on CWA Radio: BlogTalkRadio on February 9th that I came across because of wanting to hear Tiffany's interview* and I caught this one:

The Sisterhood of Beautiful Warriors, interview of Diana Scimone, a journalist who has seen the horror of child trafficking and has done something about it.

Diana founded Born to Fly International and began the B2F Project to STOP child trafficking BEFORE it happens. While the horror of child trafficking is real -- AND GROWING -- Diana is part of the solution and you can stand in the gap too.

Please read much more by visiting Diane's blog, her PROJECT Born2 Fly and her most recent post on the hearing and an interview she did with Julie HERE.

Bless the ministry of LUCY ANN MOLL also, who does this radio ministry spot.

Though I'm aware of much that is happening, this is well worth listening to and is such a wonderful eye opener. The time is now to be aware and do something to REACH, RESCUE and RESTORE victims but mostly to STOP TRAFFICKING!

Much PRAYER is needed and I discovered that every Friday, they PRAY.

WEEKLY GLOBAL PRAYER FOR CSE VICTIMS: Please join us every Friday 8am-9am EST to pray for the victims as well as the organizations reaching, rescuing, restoring & advocating for these individuals. Prayer Guide: CLICK HERE

Beauty for Ashes also has many prayer requests HERE (it's further down the post)

Be sure to read my post "The Killing Fields" and one written recently at Stirring the Deep by Rachel "Another Lost Life, How many More?"

For years I have wanted to read a book written on this atrocity but my main interest was a book written by Lydia Cacho, a journalist. Then I discovered this...

The Killing Fields: Harvest of Women

This book is TRUE!!! It is still continuing!!! It is happening in a border town, very close to USA. Cuidad Juarez is directly across a bridge from El Paso, Texas. What are we willing to do to help our sisters, daughters, friends?

The least we can do is become aware, by reading books or current news:

For sure, we MUST pray and put a hedge of protection around the innocent.

READ THIS: Another Lost Life, How Many More? by Rachel at Stirring the Deep
so that you realize this is not just affecting other countries, but integrated in our communities, right in the USA and we have tolerated it, doing nothing, HOW MUCH MORE?

Check out my other posts, especially "Beauty for Ashes"
