A Call for Repentance and Prayer
Joel 2
Global Day of Prayer, 23 May 2010

The following are Prayers for the World for my Spanish speaking brothers and sisters in Christ

Espíritu Santo, necesitamos Tu consuelo y consejo.

Transforma nuestros corazones.

Dios Poderoso –Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo,

“Prayer is where the action is."

John Wesley

Since Global Day of Prayer, many are continuing in PRAYER ( 90 DAYS of PRAYER) but here are some reports/testimonies from the Global Day of Prayer, being shared via an email (July 20, 2010):

[omitted the first one...for security of that country completely though GDOP shared it without the country's name, I felt it was more safe to not mention it here]...

* On May 23, 2010 a united prayer for Bulgaria led by an East Orthodox priest was held as part of the Global Day of Prayer on St. Alexander Nevsky Square, right in front of the Cathedral in the capital city. The former Prime Minister greeted those present. The same was done by a guest from the European Parliament, who congratulated Bulgaria on its involvement in the Global Day of Prayer. A representative of the US Senate and Congress conveyed greetings to Bulgaria for the good initiative.

* About 150 people from 7 churches prayed locally and globally that day inBafang, Cameroon. As a result, one of the passers-by was marveled by the way the church prayed for every aspect of life, nation and the world on that day and came to Evangelist Michel TCHAGO’s church on Sunday 23rdMay and gave his life to Christ… because of the global prayer.

* One thing to be noted is that our prayers have not been in vain. The church is now accepted and favored by the authorities, churches are multiplying, people are being saved, the long abandoned city roads are now being maintained, the Dschang Junction that was a place of multiple deadly accidents every week has no longer recorded any deadly accident since the two prayer actions carried over there by the church. Bafoussam, Cameroon

* During the meeting there was such a freedom as people worshiped, travailed in prayer and connected with Christians outside their own circles. After the meeting was over, two young men continued to pray with heads bowed in reverence, recognizing their need to keep on praying. And that is what many of us will continue to do for the 90 days following the GDOP and beyond. It is our dream to see 24/7 prayer in our city with widespread support from all parts of the Body of Christ. In His time, this will happen. Saskatchewan, Canada

* The move of God surprised all of us here. Many cities of 16 districts in our country did the GDOP 2010 celebration and the Lord put all different churches of different denominations to pray together for the nation, Africa and the World. They decided for themselves to carry on with GDOP in their area each Pentecost Sunday as they experience for the first time prayer in unity. Central African Republic

* It was just very small, by the GDOP standard, just 14 people in room praying for 2 hours. But God was with us, it was a great start for our little church and it was great to be part of a bigger event. Languedoc Roussillon,Narbonne, France

* There was the spirit of unity among the believers. No one was address in the service not even different denominations. WE were One. I praise God for the church leaders because they are now joining hands and hearts together. Palau, Micronesia

* Here in the British Isles (which includes Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Ireland) we have seen how the Global Day of Prayer initiative has acted as an important catalyst for unity, prayer and action over these past 6 years.

For more reports please visit their website www.globaldayofprayer.com

"A new season has dawned for GDOP! The growing momentum of the last 10 years has now laid the foundation to saturate nations in prayer. It’s time to shift our focus from 220 nations to facilitate a lifestyle of prayer with as many people in as many places as possible. In this new season, we will no longer aim at the goal of having organized events in every single country of the world, but rather to increase the number of gatherings on Pentecost Sunday in smaller settings, such as local churches, family homes and businesses instead of stadiums and assembly halls."

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW...WE MUST STAY ALERT & PRAY

Nancie was a participant in the very beginning, but unable to currently blog actively. Yet she still has much good material to read in her previous posts along her sidebar.
Choose one or all or any & be blessed!
Mission 4 Monday sadly ended last year as a meme, but I continue to share here and I know others also share various MISSIONS, especially the people above. Check them out!!! Encourage and perhaps join us.
Since my life is a MISSION, I share whenever I can. There are many of you, who do community involvement/church events, volunteer opportunities or know missionaries that you could share to motivate others. Motherhood and Homeschooling are MISSIONS and callings!!!
Each of these are MISSIONS and important to encourage others.
If you are doing something or share someone's MISSION on your blog, please leave your info in the comments anytime! Hopefully others will notice & come visit. THANKS!
New blogger that shares MISSIONS at times:
Here's a current post she shared.

NO LONGER A MEME!

Blessings to ALL Readers & Participants!

It is with a heavy heart that I will no longer be hosting "memes"!

So Mission 4 Monday will still exist as my blog ONLY and I will NO longer be doing this as a "meme" for others to JOIN me and share!

I truly believe that each one that has participated shared GREAT MISSIONS!

MORE BELOW in my post "NO LONGER A MEME"

Thank you ALL for participating when you were able & sharing your mission & heart with us!

I still believe that each one of us "were made for a mission" and an opportunity crosses our path each week to serve others as a MISSION. Open your eyes & see the needs around us!

I still believe in the great value & worth of sharing MISSIONS!

I still believe that you do not have to be a missionary "sent out in the world" to be a missionary. Your home, your neighborhood, your community is filled with needs to be met with the passion & compassion of Jesus Christ. One day a week or month, take the time. It may be the first "short term" mission that God moves in you & touches others with His love.

I still believe "all" that Rick Warren shared in "The Purpose Driven Life" especially Purpose #5!
WE WERE MADE FOR A MISSION!

I still believe that I will continue to share MISSIONS put on my heart right here.

"God has given you a Life Message to share..."

and I know that HE gave me a LIFE MESSAGE and
I hope to share that through what I post here. I will continue to update on ministries as I have and those in my sidebar.

THANKS MISSION4MONDAY PARTICIPANTS & READERS! Click here to see who participated in MISSION 4 MONDAY!

PRAISE the LORD for REPENTANCE in HAITI! Keep praying; get ready to repent in USA & WORLDWIDE

My dear friend Cathy sent me an email about this. This one is provided by SERMON INDEX of the LOVING HANDS Ministry in Haiti.

Tears of the Saints

I had "Tears of the Saints" from Acts1v8 on Vimeo.

'You are the light of the world' –– Jesus talking to His disciples.

Are we being the 'salt and light' that we are called to be?

I needed to remove the Vimeo because it says for PRIVATE USE! It's still worth seeing and all of the others available through Mission Mobilizer. It looks like "Tears of the Saints" is no longer available.
So I have replaced it with this song by Leeland & YouTube by lkittycat
IN THE PAST HOUR:
1625 children were forced to live on the streets 1667 children died from malnutrition or disease 115 children became prostitutes 257 children were orphaned because of HIV/Aids. It gets worse... 2 billion people in the world today have never ever heard of Jesus. 1% of missions financial support, goes to reaching those unreached people. 30,000 people starve to death every day.
