Plum Coulee - Mazatlan Mission Trip 2011
from amistadfamiliardesinaloa on Vimeo.

These are the Feeding Centers of Amistad Familiar here in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, MX.
Pastor Carlos and Marilu Mariñelarena
Gaby (their daughter)and Mike (her husband from Canada)
have organized families throughout the Mazatlan community from their church to daily minister to the children
with physical and spiritual food from God's Word.

Special churches like this one from Plum Coulee
make it their mission
to come here and help.

Here's what Plum Coulee wrote with this great vimeo of
God's Work here:

"A group from Plum Coulee went to Mazatlan, Mexico to show God's love and to serve the people. The group of 12 fed the children in the feeding centers, built a 2 room home for a family, visited the men in the prison and brought gifts for the sunday school program."

This took place 27 days ago here.

I have photos and videos from my cellphone of their recent Christmas Program... that I hope to be able to share (but the sound on the video is horrible... you can't hear the kids at all and the beautiful music is very garbled) ... You can catch the center scene in this Vimeo from the message the day after the performance with Pastor Carlos and Mike translating from 2 Timothy 3 (it's in English and Spanish).

Alexandra and all the teachers did an excellent job in putting this all together for December 17th... Everyone was involved from the babies to the teens to the adults!!!

This is why this church holds a very special place in my heart!!! Everyone counts and everyone blesses. Thanks to all of you from Plum Coulee and AMISTAD FAMILAR for giving to the community in Mazatlan. I love you all and pray for many blessings and fruit from your dedication to serve.

    BENDICE ALMA MIA ~ Bless My Soul

    Spanish speakers: Use the Google Widget to translate this written message >>> over on the right
    Los que hablan el español: Usa el "widget" de Google para traducir esto escrito, a la derecha con las banderitas

    I don't usually do this, but I'm linking up this song in Spanish to SOS (even though I realize most of you don't know Spanish), hopefully some of the passerbys will listen and be blessed. You will be also, if you give it a chance, the Holy Spirit will transform these words by His Spirit and you will receive the blessing from listening to it. I know that this is good SOAKING music!

    Some of you may know that I have been in a constant battle with different health issues this past month from one thing to another. So I put on this CD to nourish my soul and speak healing to me. It has a beautiful instrumental piano intro by Klaus Kuehn, followed by 10 spontaneous healing songs. I could have chosen every one of these songs ... the CD is "YO SOY TU SANADOR" (I am your Healer) by Marcos Barrientos (a Spirit filled, anointed composer, musician, worship leader, pastor in TX)!

    I have chosen this one to give God the glory for what happened because without a doubt to me, it was only through God's grace and benevolent love (OK a miracle to me) that in a moment's notice (and many bathroom trips) while I prayed, after 3 excruciating hours of pain, and after having resorted to going to a Mexican hospital Urgent Care the night before, while preparing to return... it past... just like that! I was in awe!

    ONLY GOD! And that part of me has been fine ever since. What He has done for me, He can do for you, too, just believe and receive, allow God to start His work in you.

    I often proclaim God is my Healer and I definitely pray for other's healing, but as I laid my hands on my own body and prayed... He answered (along with any other's who may have been praying) He heard! ... Wed. pm. Were you praying? It may have been your prayer! My faith tells me that I am not only to give God thanks but also All the glory! And so with that I share this song:

    "Bless the Lord, O my soul..."

    *I have an entire Playlist of this CD at YouTube and added another Prelude (at the end) because I could not find the one for this. Even without knowing Spanish, I believe that as you listen and SOAK, you will find healing in your spirit and in your soul.

    ** I will try to add a translation in the comments (at least give you the idea since it's long and repeats) ... but don't look at mine until you tell me what you think the song was about... and I don't just mean "healing"... I'll give you the title again, "Bless My Soul" but it changes to "Bless the Lord, O my soul" when it's the complete line...

    Here's a HINT:  Psalm 103 or Psalm 104

    God is so good!

    Bendice Alma mía, Al Señor;
    Y rinde a su nombre, adoración.
    Y no olvides, sus beneficios;
    Bendice Alma mía, Al Señor.

    Él es quién perdona,
    Todas tus dolencias, Él sanará;
    El que te rescata, y con sus favores,
    Coronarás, te saciará.

    Cantaré, de tu Amor;
    A Tú nombre, siempre daré,
    Toda Gloria y Honor;
    Porque me rescataste, oh Señor, Jesús,
    Y por siempre a Ti mi Alma, rendiré.

    Bendice Alma mía, Al Señor;
    Y rinde a su nombre, adoración.
    Y no olvides, sus beneficios;
    Bendice Alma mía, Al Señor.

    Él es quién perdona,
    Todas tus dolencias, Él sanará;
    El que te rescata, y con sus favores,
    Coronarás, te saciará.

    Yo cantaré. . . . .

    Cantaré, de tu Amor;
    A Tú nombre, siempre daré,
    Toda Gloria y Honor;
    Porque me rescataste, oh Señor, Jesús,
    Y por siempre a con mi Alma. . .

    Cantaré, de tu Amor;
    A Tú nombre, siempre daré,
    Toda Gloria y Honor;
    Porque me rescataste, oh Señor, Jesús,
    y por siempre a Ti mi Alma rendiré.

    "Tú me has sanado Señor,
    Tú rescataste del hoyo mi vida;
    Tú perdonaste todas mis iniquidades,
    Me has coronado con favores y misericordias;
    Tú has saciado de bien mi boca,
    Me rejuveneciste cómo el águila;
    Y Señor, hoy vengo a decirte, que estoy agradecido,
    Porque Tú has derramado tu sanidad en mi corazón".

    Has derramado, Tú sanidad,
    Has derramado, aceite fresco, oh Dios;
    Has derramado, Tú bálsamo de amor, sobre mi corazón.

    Me has perdonado, me has rescatado;
    ooh Señor, me has sanado,
    Con Tú bálsamo de amor, sobre mi vida;
    Curaste mi corazón, con tu medicina Señor.

    Cantaré, de tu Amor;
    A Tú nombre, siempre daré,
    Toda Gloria y Honor;
    Porque me rescataste, oh Señor, Jesús,
    Y por siempre con mi Alma. . .

    Cantaré, de tu Amor;
    A Tú nombre, siempre daré,
    Toda Gloria y Honor;
    Porque me rescataste, oh Señor, Jesús,
    Y por siempre a Ti mi Alma rendiré.
    Y por siempre a Ti mi Alma rendiré.
    Y por siempre a Ti mi Alma rendiré.

    Me rindo a Ti, en adoración.

    Why not look around while you're here?

    Let's HELP STOP...

    I received this email and thought it was far too IMPORTANT not to share with everyone! WE need to help STOP THE TRAFFICK.  To learn more visit their website.

    What is Human Trafficking?

    The race is on!
    205 nations from across the world will descend on the UK as it hosts the 2012 Olympics. For many international travel is an opportunity that glitters with hope and promise; a chance to make their dreams of a brighter future come true.
    For many this can take an unexpected turn. That one chance for a brighter future, a good job, a better education becomes nothing but a nightmare.

    Some may be trafficked into our communities and into the communities hosting the Olympic events.
    Become a friend and help us to beat the traffickers

    STOP relies on regular donations to support their trafficking prevention work in the UK and around the world. If you want to do something sign up and
     donate monthly to help:

    • Raise awareness about what trafficking is in communities hosting the Olympics and around the world
    • Equip communities to make it harder for traffickers to operate
    • Make it possible for someone in trouble to know how and where to get help
    • Develop long term anti-trafficking initiatives in the most vulnerable communities worldwide
    People should NOT BE BOUGHT or SOLD! Let's make others AWARE and keep current by visiting STOP THE TRAFFICK BLOG!

    This is long overdue (happened in April 2011) but I just came across it and I'm sharing it directly from PERSECUTION.COM
    "Mexico’s rampant drug violence spilled over into the evangelical community in April when a pastor was kidnapped during Sunday morning worship. Four masked men burst into the El Shaddai Christian Center in Lázaro Cárdenas on the morning of April 10 and opened fire with automatic weapons. They then kidnapped the pastor, Josué Ramírez Santiago, in front of 500 helpless worshipers. The kidnappers are thought to be drug traffickers who are active in the Michoacán area.
    Michoacan is the lilac colored state on the Pacific side near the green state of Jalisco

    The following day, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of 20 million pesos, or $1.8 million, from the pastor’s family. Even if the family could pay the enormous sum, it would not necessarily guarantee the pastor’s safety.
    Arturo Farela, director of the National Fraternity of Evangelical Churches, told Compass Direct News that organized crime syndicates and drug cartels have targeted Christians because they view churches as revenue centers and because churches support programs for the rehabilitation of drug addicts and alcoholics.
    Farela said more than 100 pastors have been kidnapped and 15 murdered in recent years. “Furthermore,” he said, “some 100 Mexican or foreign pastors who lived in Ciudad Juarez have had to abandon the city because of the threats and demands for money. And of course many pastors and their families have been victims of extortion, threats, kidnapping and homicide.” Compass Direct was unable to verify the number of kidnapped and murdered pastors."

    This year I shared the PRAYERS from Global day of Prayer (GDOP) for the 10 days up to Pentecost over at The Lighthouse of Prayer (in the comments) of "10 Days of Prayer". Here I am sharing their PRAYER FOR THE WORLD being shared today, June 12th:

    PLEASE JOIN in this PRAYER and SHARE with others

    “They lifted their voices to God with one accord…” –Acts 4:24

    Almighty God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

    Together with believers all over the world,
    We gather today to glorify Your Name.
    You are the Creator of heaven and earth.
    There is no one like You, holy and righteous in all Your ways.
    We submit to Your authority as the King of the universe.
    We pray with one voice to enthrone You in our hearts
       and to honour You before the world.

    Lord God, You alone are worthy of our praise and adoration.

    Our Father in heaven,
    Thank You for loving the world so greatly.
    You gave Your only Son, Jesus Christ,
       to die on the cross for our sins
       so that we could be reconciled to You.
    We are grateful to call You Father and to be called Your children.
    Nothing can separate us from Your love.

    Thank You Father, for adopting us into Your family
         because of Jesus Christ our Savior.

    Lord Jesus Christ,
    You alone are worthy to open the scrolls of history,
       for You were slain and have redeemed us to the Father by Your blood.
    We confess that You are Head of the Church
       and Lord of all heaven and earth.
    May people from every tribe and language become Your followers
       so that Your blessing brings transformation among all peoples.
    Let Your kingdom be established in every nation of the world
       so that governments will rule with righteousness and justice.
    And may Your Name be great, from the rising of the sun to its setting.

    Jesus Christ, You are the Saviour of the world and the Lord of all.

    Father of mercy and grace,
    We acknowledge that we have sinned
       and that our world is gripped by the power of sin.
    Our hearts are grieved by injustice, hatred and violence.
    We are shamed by oppression, racism and bloodshed in our land.
    We mourn all loss of life in murder, war and terrorism.
    Our homes are broken and our churches are divided by rebellion and pride.
    Our lives are polluted by selfishness, greed, idolatry and sexual sin.
    We have grieved Your heart and brought shame to Your Name.
    Have mercy on us as we repent with all our hearts.

    God of mercy, forgive our sins.
         Pour out Your grace and heal our land

    Spirit of the living God,
    Apart from You, we can do nothing.
    Transform Your Church into the image of Jesus Christ.
    Release Your power to bring healing to the sick,
       freedom to the oppressed and comfort to those who mourn.
    Pour Your love into our hearts and fill us with compassion
       to answer the call of the homeless and the hungry
       and to enfold orphans, widows and the elderly in Your care.
    Give us wisdom and insight for the complex problems we face today.
    Help us to use the resources of the earth for the well-being of all.

    Holy Spirit, we need Your comfort
         and guidance.
    Transform our hearts.

    Lord Jesus Christ,
    Because You were dead, but are now risen,
       and the Father has given You a Name above all names,
       You will defeat all powers of evil.
    Tear down strongholds and ideologies that resist the knowledge of God.
    Remove the veil of darkness that covers the peoples.
    Restrain the evil that promotes violence and death.
    Bring deliverance from demonic oppression.
    Break the hold of slavery, tyranny and disease.
    Fill us with courage to preach Your word fearlessly,
       and to intercede for the lost faithfully.

    Almighty God, deliver us from evil.

    King of Glory,
    Come and finish Your work in our cities, our peoples and our nations.
    We lift our voices in unison with believers from Africa and Asia,
       from the Middle East and Europe, from North and South America,
       and from Australia and the Pacific Islands—together we cry:

    Lift up your heads, O you gates!
    Be lifted up ancient doors
         so that the King of glory may come in!

    As Your deeds increase throughout the earth,
       and as Your blessings abound to all the nations,
       they will seek You, asking, “Who is this King of glory?”
    Together we will answer:

    He is the Lord Almighty!
    Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!

    Come fill the earth with Your glory as the waters cover the sea.

    The Spirit and the Bride say:

    Amen! Come Lord Jesus!
