31 DAYS of ... "A Dios Sea La Gloria"

Canciones cristianas

Christian songs in Spanish

DAY 31
"A Dios Sea La Gloria"
To God Be the Glory

Como agradeceré
Todas las cosas

Que has hecho por mí

Cosas inmerecidas

No expresáran mi gratitud
Lo que soy y lo que anhelo ser
Lo debo todo a Ti

A Dios sea la gloria
A Dios sea la gloria
A Dios sea la gloria
Por lo que hizo por mí
Con Su sangre me ha limpiado
Su poder me ha salvado
A Dios sea la gloria
Por lo que hizo por mí

Quiero vivir Señor

Rendida siempre sólo a Ti
Pongo a tus pies

Lo que soy

Porque diste todo Señor por mí
Con Su sangre me ha limpiado
Su poder me ha salvado
A Dios sea la gloria
Por lo que hizo por mí

Sea la gloria y la honra

Y el poder por siempre

Here's a link to my favorite little Spanish Booklet (Conversational Spanish for Short term missionaries) and another link to a PDF I found recently on songs from SOAR Ministries. I have other resources also and if you ever need help or I can answer or find the answer for any question, you may have ... just leave me a comment (and you can be sure I'll respond). Trust me Spanish is much easier to learn than English (and teach). The sounds are rhythmical and that's why I could not resist teaching 31 Days through Music ... So don't get discouraged! just practice, practice, practice (don't be embarrassed to try) and enjoy. Maybe I did not teach you sequentially or all I could have in 31 days but if you go to the site I linked to often, I know you can learn. The songs and the lessons just came to me each day ... perhaps it was not the best way for you, but I know God was speaking to me or better yet singing His song over me every day ... and I was blessed to share.

To God be the glory!

The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

Sorry that I crammed so much into these last few days of the 31 Days. Maybe I need to do this regularly on Saturdays each week as a Spanish Song feature ... I'll take it up with God and check back on future Saturdays. (update I won't be able to do this for awhile however due to a tragedy back home in MN But with all the links I've given you, I know that they can keep you busy. I'd start with the Study Spanish site and check out other You Tube singers that you liked, because I'm sure that singing helps with the flow and the sounds.

Just have fun, enjoy and don't be embarrassed to try speaking or singing along, remember the more you use a language, the easier it becomes, because if you don't use it, you loose it! Muchas bendiciones, Peggy or Margarita (but I never use that one here nor in English) (although it's the word for a flower, it's also a drink, so I stay clear from that)

31 DAYS of ...

Canciones cristianas

Christian songs in Spanish

DAY 30

One last
Christian Duo
and
then some
other music to learn Spanish, too!
A blast from the past

I like so many of this duos songs that this was really difficult to narrow down to just one ... the duo is called

Tercer Cielo
Evelyn y Juan Carlos

I came to know them through a very significant personal
song
(I will Miss You)

But I think, it will be difficult for you to understand them so I thought about "Te Necesito" (I Need You) but I've chosen one I hope a little easier for you to listen to with a
word repeated ... "Victoria" but I also like the one I was just listening to ... "Si No Estás Junto a Mí" ("If You are not together with me") or now "Aunque lejos Estés" ("Even though You may be far away"). Maybe I need to just make a widget with their songs too, like I have for "Blest" in my sidebar, but I'm sure I have a YT playlist of them starting with my favorite above and also another YT site that has many songs that we know from "Casting Crown", etc. in Spanish is "Samaritan Revival" (I have a playlist for them also) and there are so many others like Vino Nuevo, En Espiritu y En Verdad, individual singers:
Danilo Montero, Jesus Adrian Romero, Marcos Witt, Marco Barrientos, Lilly Goodman, Julissa, Marcela Gandera, Jaci VelasquezAlma Rivera, the list goes on and on and there are so many new Christian artists ... Praise God!

"VICTORIA"

No hay temor que ante el permanezca
No hay montaña que con mi fe
No se pueda mover
Yo tengo la armadura
Y la espada que quien me envío

Me levanto y declaro victoria

Ya Dios me la dio
No hay temor que ante el permanezca
No hay montaña que con mi fe
No se pueda mover
Yo tengo la armadura

Y la espada que quien me envío

Me levanto y declaro victoria
Ya Dios me la dio

Victoria
Victoria
Si el a mi frente va
Yo puedo cantar
Victoria

Victoria

Bandera levantare
Y confesare
Victoria

Me levanto y declaro victoria

Ya Dios me la dio

Victoria
Victoria

Si el a mi frente va

Yo puedo cantar

Victoria

Victoria

Bandera levantare
Y confesare
Victoria

//Aleluya//

Victoria

Victoria

Si el a mi frente va

Yo puedo cantar

Victoria

Victoria

Bandera levantare
Y confesare
Victoria

However, today, I was hoping to share some other kind of music that you can learn Spanish from also ... from music of the 70s, 80s, 90s... There is a You Tube channel that has done this ever so well with Song Subtitles (both English and Spanish), in fact I think they have more than one channel ... all of those on the side with YRSL.

Unchained

When you look for a song, you need to have someone who clearly enunciates in Spanish as these do in English.

31 DAYS of ... Kari Jobe "Love Came Down" in Spanish and English

Canciones cristianas
en el español
Christian songs in Spanish

DAY 29

OK, as you can see, I definitely like the songs that Kari Jobe sings in English and Spanish and could not end these 31 Days without sharing these songs. I, too want to learn the words. But actually, not too many Mexicans are familiar with Kari or her songs, so I'd like to change that!
:0) with hopes that they may know:

"Love Came Down"

in
Our Lord
Jesus

"Tu Amor Vino a Mi"

another one
that you have to Watch on You Tube for the Spanish version

Si se angustia el corazón
Y Tu voz no alcanzo a oír
Me aferraré a Ti
Aunque no pueda ver

Me salvo me llevo a Ti

Y a Tus pies permanecer

Me salvo me llevo a ti

//Tuya soy, Tuya soy
Por Tu amor
Cristo
Tuya soy//

//Fue Tu amor que vino a mi
Me salvo me llevo a Ti
Tuya soy,
Tuya por siempre//

//Tuya por siempre//

//Tuya por siempre//
Yours for always
(para siempre = forever)

Possessive Pronouns to learn about Tuya (feminine) or tuyo for (masculine)

Seguiré ...
I will continue
... confiando en Ti ...
trusting in You
... adorándote ...
adoring You

Both of these are present participles from the verb (infinitives): confiar (to trust) adorar (to adore)

following seguir (to continue) which puts it in the future

An important rule for direct objects, indirect objects and reflexives:come before a conjugated verb, or as in this case; followed and attached to a present participle. And the accent needs to be written in and pronounced above.
Any word, ending in a vowel (before ending the extra syllable of "te") or "n" or "s" the accent usually falls on the second to the last syllable, so to keep that from changing, it is added:
adorándote

There are many verbs in the future and some verbs used in the past in "Tu Amor Vino a Mi". Believe it or not that little "a" is an important lesson also, all on its own... it's called the personal "a"

"Vino" is a past tense irregular conjugation from venir which means to come. Since it is past, it is "came". (Vino also means wine but it would have "el"(the) before it or "un"(a) or something to indicate it is wine.) Venir is also irregular in the future, it becomes "vendr__" plus the correct subject ending: -é, -ás, -á, -emos, -éis, -án

So Jesús vino (Jesus came) He will come again Vendrá otra vez.

Since we have looked at the Future before, can you find the words used in the future? Hint: Look for the endings

So
I
"Run to You"
Lord

"A Ti, Te Correré"
To You, I will run to You.

A Ti, Te Correré
Que me llamas Dios
Me haces señales Dios
Con amor abundante
Y a Ti correré

Te necesito, no me es suficiente
Solo Un poco de Ti
Tengo la vida en Tu presencia
oh Dios

Y sorprendente y a Ti Jesus correré

Te necesito, no me es suficiente
Solo Un poco de Ti
Tengo la vida en tu presencia
oh Dios
De mi salvación

Dios yo corro
a Ti
acercame a Ti

Dios, yo corro
a Ti
acercame a Ti

Te necesito, no me es suficiente
Solo Un poco de Ti
Tengo la vida en tu presencia
oh Dios
De mi salvación

A Ti correré

"Mi Mayor Passion"
My Greatest Passion

This one's a song from my heart

Vengo a Ti, solo a Ti, Señor
Mas de Ti, es mi oración

Tu presencia, es todo para mi
Tu, mi respirar, Mi seguridad

Todo lo que soy Te adorará
Mi mayor pasión
Eres Tú, Señor

Tu nombre oh Dios
Cuan precioso es
Al mirar Tu amor
Más Te buscaré

//Tu presencia, es todo para mi
Tu, mi respirar, Mi seguridad

Todo lo que soy, Te adorara
Mi mayor pasión

Eres Tú, Señor//
Eres Tú, Señor

////Mi alma cantará
Te amo, Te amo////

//Tu presencia es todo para mi
Tú, mi respirar, Mi seguridad
Todo lo que soy Te adorará
Mi mayor pasión, Eres Tú, Señor//

////Eres Tú, Señor////

////Mi alma cantará
Te amo, Te amo////

This is my daily prayer!
But especially this
SUNDAY

He is
"My Everything"
Él es mi todo

"Rise"

same song with English lyrics HERE

Lead us to You
Show us Your mercy
Your majesty lifted up on high
It tells of Your goodness

Verse 2
Your name is true
Your name is holy
Your splendor is written in the skies
It tells of Your greatness

Chorus
We will rise
To praise You
Offer our lives before You
Let every nation
All of creation
We will rise
You are worthy
Lift up our eyes to Your glory
Let every nation
All of creation
We will rise

Verse 3
We stand in awe
You won the victory
Your enemies tremble at Your name
It speaks of Your triumph

Verse 4

You clothe the poor
You mend the broken
You heal our hearts
You take our shame
It speaks of Your kindness

Bridge
We will cry out Your renown
You are the God who has saved us
We will rise to praise You
We lift a glorious sound
You are the one who redeemed us
We will rise to praise You

Nos Levantaremos
"We will rise" in Spanish
(sorry, it's another Watch on You Tube)

What Love is This!

"Que Bello Amor"
What beautiful love

Me sostendrás
No puedo

And yes, this is
Sunday

CONCERT DAY

I mean
Day of Rest
but
I had to add the above songs of
KARI JOBE
as you can tell I could have gone on for more than these
31 DAYS
just with Kari Jobe's songs
(ok, maybe just 24 days total with her songs)
I still am missing some and there's only 3 days left

So here are two videos of her concert
at
Cornerstone Church 2012
but not in Spanish and not as good
Part 1

Part 2

DAY 27
HERE

Come and rest here
Come and lay your burdens down
Come and rest here
There is refuge for you now

[Pre-Chorus:]
You'll find His peace
And know you're not alone anymore
He is near
You'll find His healing
You're heart isn't shattered anymore
He is here

[Chorus:]
Breathe in
Breathe out
You will
You will find Him here

[Bridge:]
I will rest in You

[Outro:]
You will find Him
You will find Him here
You will find Him
You will find Him here

"AQUÍ ESTÁ"
[since they would not let this one play here, I added another one below it and hopefully that one plays]
"Aqui Esta"

//Ven, descansa,
ya no cargues más dolor
Ven, descansa,
y refúgiate en Su amor
Encontrarás ya,
No más soledad
Sólo paz,
cerca está
Encontrarás
que tu corazón roto
Él sanó
Aquí está

Respira
Exhala
Tú lo encontrarás
Aquí//
(it goes back and repeats from the beginning to here)
Then continues

////Descansaré en Tí////
(repeats 4xs)

Respira
Exhala
Tú lo encontrarás
Aquí//

Lo encontrarás
Aquí
Decansaré en Tí

Future tense is used for the verbs
encontrar
meet
and
descansar
rest

I will rest in You
Descansaré en Tí
Mateo 11:28

Mateo 11:28-30
