JUSTICE FOR AYOTZINAPA

GRAND INJUSTICE ONGOING IN MEXICO with 43 STUDENTS MISSING/ PRESUMED MURDERED
{my subtitle}

350px

As a teacher myself, I'd love to give my opinions and my heartache over this horrendous tragedy but it's much better for you, if you get the facts and hear what is being written and shared. Hopefully, you will leave better informed and appalled by what is happening, perhaps motivated to ACT. The details are overwhelming and justice must come for these 43 college students and their families crying out for them. These students have names, families and human rights.
"The murder of six people, including three students, and the disappearance of 43 other students from the Ayotzinapa Teacher Training School in the state of Guerrero exposes how Mexico can not shake its history of state violence and impunity."... "The 43 missing students are part of the 240 people who have gone missing in just in the state of Guerrero this year, while there have been over 9,000 people who have disappeared since President Enrique Peña Nieto took office in 2012." ... TeleSur TV{excellent, informative article on the multiple disappearances in Mexico overall}
I could not agree more with this statement made at the end of the above article
"...Until these issues are addressed, and justice and accountability become the norm and not the exception,  groups such as students, women, human rights defenders, migrants, and journalists will remain vulnerable."

Disappearance of 43 Students
so

"Mexico has a very deep wound right now after the disappearance of the 43 students in Ayotzinapa.

On September 26, dozens of students took several buses to Iguala, and after a violent encounter with the police, 43 of them were allegedly taken to the police headquarters and never heard from them again. The government claimed the students where there to boycott a political event, but the students claim they were there to raise funds for their school. Mexican authorities eventually declared the students dead after weeks of investigation, but the people of Mexico are not letting this one go so easily.

They’ve had enough with the government, and this atrocious act was the last straw, which detonated a series of protests around the whole country.

On November 20, 2014, multiple manifestations  both in Mexico and of Mexicans living in other countries took place to show their support to the Ayotzinapa students and to tell the government that they’re tired of the corruption. The protest in Mexico City specifically took place at El Zócalo,  ..."

31 DAYS of "GREATER GOOD" ~ DAY 30

Read more at Today's Project with Greater Good

As I near the end of these 31 Days of "Greater Good", I must say that it has become a desired habit for me to go there and CLICK (as a positive result of focusing on this great site daily for this past month). The added bonus for me is all the wonderful current information both educational and inspirational that "Greater Good" makes available on their site. On the Main Page of "Greater Good", there are the symbols across the top to CLICK on each cause and then there is another line, like a subtitle, that begins with the symbol of a house for "home" page ... and each page has these tabs with so much more available; but on this page in particular, there's a drop down menu, under YOUR VOICE MATTERS (and it really does) with these additional "click" choices:
One for each cause, except the one that just recently has become important to me: Alzheimer's (although they do have much information available at ALZ. site; both research and caregiver information). It's an excellent resource!

If you personally are effected by any of these causes, they become much more important. As I have mentioned throughout these "31 Days" that each cause has touched my life in some way through someone I care deeply about ... and know. So I care about each category and am glad to say that I did not miss one day of CLICKING on every cause{yeahhh!!!} Since each of these causes plays a part in my life, I appreciate all that is shared on "Greater Good" and their sites. I have learned as much as I have shared and hope that you take advantage of ALL that GREATER GOOD shares and even have fun SHOPPING to GIVE or PLAYING ONLINE GAMES that GIVE! What a complete package of Greater Good!
@ GreaterGood (dot) com. I can't say enough good about "Greater Good" but perhaps these Bible verses will:
"The evidence of the Spirit's presence is given to each person for the common good of everyone." 1 Corinthians 12:7
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 NASB
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."Galatians 6:9 ESV
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16 ESV

But I believe this one says the MOST:

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
Matthew 25:40 NIV

I encourage you to CLICK over to GREATER GOOD, read all that interests you but most importantly take time to CLICK on each cause, because you never know when it may strike closer to your home and loved ones, and all it takes from you is a few seconds to CLICK each one and you are supporting and helping others ... least or great in God's Kingdom, we need one another --- so

    31 DAYS of "GREATER GOOD" ~ DAY 28

    Being an educator, I really like the LITERACY site and many of the projects aimed toward helping others get an education. Many do not have the opportunities that WE take for granted. Plus an added bonus to each of the sites listed below is their NEWS and INFO in a drop down menu (3rd one across) on every page's cause for their cause. I could not miss out in sharing two projects that your click will help with EDUCATION of less fortunate: one is the current (1) TODAY's GREATER GOOD PROJECT and (2) the other was at the "Hunger Site" for HAITI:

    GED

    {if you miss clicking this now, it will show the current project, not this one}

    {I use to teach people trying to get their GED. It is not an easy task and you have to pass a test in each subject area; in many ways more difficult than attending and finishing high school.} I appreciate that "Greater Good" explains this to make us more aware of the need:
    "Graduation rates among Native Americans are the lowest in the country, with a dropout rate of up to 51%. According to the Tohono O’odham Community College Annual Report, around 40% of Arizona’s Tohono O’odham Nation has an average per capita income of $7,000. The estimated unemployment rate for the tribe is 42%.
    The District of Gu’Vo is working hard to combat this pressing issue by empowering Tohono O’odham children to earn their GEDs — a crucial asset if they are ever find gainful employment and break the cycle of poverty." ...
    Read more at  "Greater Good" Today's Project. I'm happy to report that this project was funded. (which means that it received enough CLICKS) Yeah! So now there's a NEW PROJECT for Today!

    (2)

    A Young Haitian Student
    "Haiti has the lowest rate of school enrollment in the Western Hemisphere. Without a secondary education, a young Haitian is unable to find a good job or attend college. In response to the educational crisis in Haiti, GreaterGood is launching The Other Side Campaign to build a quality high school in Haiti." (Read more at "Greater Good" Hunger Site)
