Today's Project at "Greater Good" is most likely the same one that it has been, until they are able to get enough clicks (I imagine) to fund the project. So be sure to click. Because of this I have chosen another project that caught my attention as my "Project for Today": "Keep Afghan School Girls Safe" ... {personally I find this to be atrocious that we even have to ask or do this for any country in our modern world ... to protect children MUST be the most important responsibility for us and a given}

Here is how "Greater Good" shares this or better yet click over and read there to support:

"Afghanistan is a dangerous place if you're a girl with a dream of education.

The Zabuli Education Center in Deh'Subz, Afghanistan, is currently in its seventh year of operation with more than 400 students in grades K-12. Located outside of Kabul, many of the students have to walk several miles to school, even in the harsh winter. Some families will not permit their girls to walk to school by themselves, which prevents dozens of girls from attending. In other sections of Afghanistan, the Taliban has notoriously attacked girls on their way to school, and parents are afraid for their children's safety. We don't want that to happen in Deh'Subz.
The school needs to raise $30,000 to purchase a bus that has 60 seats to get the girls to school safely. This bus will provide the safety and security these girls deserve as they journey to and from school. The bus will do more than protect the girls already enrolled at the Zabuli Education Center - it will allow even more girls to attend school and receive the education they desire.
You can help. Just $25.00 provides safe transportation for one girl to and from school for an entire month."

"Razia's Ray of Hope improves the lives of Afghan young women and girls through community-based education at the Zabuli Education Center in Deh'Subz, Afghanistan. Our nonprofit organization and school were founded in the belief that education is key to positive, peaceful change for current and future generations, and that we must empower girls and young women through education and resources to work toward brighter futures, in their own villages and beyond. " Greater Good
