Being an educator, I really like the LITERACY site and many of the projects aimed toward helping others get an education. Many do not have the opportunities that WE take for granted. Plus an added bonus to each of the sites listed below is their NEWS and INFO in a drop down menu (3rd one across) on every page's cause for their cause. I could not miss out in sharing two projects that your click will help with EDUCATION of less fortunate: one is the current (1) TODAY's GREATER GOOD PROJECT and (2) the other was at the "Hunger Site" for HAITI:

{if you miss clicking this now, it will show the current project, not this one}

{I use to teach people trying to get their GED. It is not an easy task and you have to pass a test in each subject area; in many ways more difficult than attending and finishing high school.} I appreciate that "Greater Good" explains this to make us more aware of the need:

According to the Tohono O’odham Community College Annual Report, around 40% of Arizona’s Tohono O’odham Nation has an average per capita income of $7,000. The estimated unemployment rate for the tribe is 42%.
The District of Gu’Vo is working hard to combat this pressing issue by empowering Tohono O’odham children to earn their GEDs — a crucial asset if they are ever find gainful employment and break the cycle of poverty." ...
Read more at  "Greater Good" Today's Project. I'm happy to report that this project was funded. (which means that it received enough CLICKS) Yeah! So now there's a NEW PROJECT for Today!

A Young Haitian Student
"Haiti has the lowest rate of school enrollment in the Western Hemisphere. Without a secondary education, a young Haitian is unable to find a good job or attend college. In response to the educational crisis in Haiti, GreaterGood is launching The Other Side Campaign to build a quality high school in Haiti." New blogger that shares MISSIONS at times:
    Here's a current post she shared.
    Choose one or all or any & you will be blessed!
    I also have another MISSION: to PRAY, so you can visit our team blog, THE LIGHTHOUSE of PRAYER over here
    Mission 4 Monday sadly ended last year as a meme, but I continue to share here and I know others also share various MISSIONS, especially the people above. Check them out!!! Encourage and perhaps join us.
    Since my life is a MISSION, I share whenever I can. There are many of you, who do community involvement/church events, volunteer opportunities or know missionaries that you could share to motivate others. Motherhood and Homeschooling are MISSIONS and callings!!!
    Each of these are MISSIONS and important to encourage others.
    If you are doing something or share someone's MISSION on your blog, please leave your info in the comments anytime! Hopefully others will notice & come visit. THANKS!
