Just for Teens
{I almost put this under "J" because of the "Just ..." (lol)}

"Alzheimer’s disease impacts family life. Take the time to talk with the children and teens in your family so that they understand what is happening to the person with Alzheimer’s.

The degree to which children and teens are affected by the disease depends on who has it — a parent or grandparent, relative or friend. Other factors include how close the child or teen is to the person and where the person lives (in the same home, assisted living or nursing home, out-of-state, etc.)."

I have had multiple discussions with my sons about this, as it affected their grandfather (my dad), and now affects my mother. We talk about the difficulties of it - both physical and mental - the affects on both the person with the disease and those surrounding them. We talk a lot about the future, and some of the things I feel strongly about if it happens to me.

It is good to have these discussions, even if they're difficult.

Mission 4 Monday sadly ended last year as a meme, but I continue to share here and I know others also share various MISSIONS, especially the people above. Check them out!!! Encourage and perhaps join us.
Since my life is a MISSION, I share whenever I can. There are many of you, who do community involvement/church events, volunteer opportunities or know missionaries that you could share to motivate others. Motherhood and Homeschooling are MISSIONS and callings!!!
Each of these are MISSIONS and important to encourage others.
If you are doing something or share someone's MISSION on your blog, please leave your info in the comments anytime! Hopefully others will notice & come visit. THANKS!
