"...praying with one another for the nations that
God may be glorified!"
Macau, China (Special Administrative Region of China)
Our Father-God, we come before Your throne to stand with the church of Macau, China. Your name alone is excellent; Your glory is above the earth and heaven (Ps 148:13). We pray that the people of this nation will seek You, the one true God. Your counsel shall stand, and You will accomplish all You have purposed for Macau. We pray that sinners will turn to You and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so their sins are forgiven. We pray they will turn from the false religions and the social cohesion of Chinese culture, and no longer fear the false god of the city! We rejoice as the people turn from idols to serve You, the true living God, and look forward to the coming of Jesus, whom You raised from the dead! You delivered us all from the judgment that hung over our heads. Thank You Father, for doing a mighty work in Macau…so mighty that it will no longer be known as a “city of sin,” but as a hub for missions work, in the name of Jesus, our Lord.
Republic of China, Taiwan
Our Father-God, we unite with the church interceding for the lost who live in Taiwan. Draw them with cords of Love to Jesus, the Savior who takes away the sins of the world. Thank You for doing the work of putting people together, setting them on their feet, giving them eternal salvation; they shall be disciples taught by You. Strengthen the laborers of the Harvest who are reaching out with the good news of Jesus Christ and the peace, joy, love and eternal forgiveness that only Jesus offers. Thank You, Holy Spirit for convincing the world of the meaning of sin, of true goodness and of judgment. Bring them to salvation and the knowledge of the Truth, in the name of Jesus!
Continuing prayer for Taiwan
Lord God Almighty, may Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray that openness and honesty will characterize the present and future leaders of Taiwan. We ask for leaders who will speak truly, live truly and deal truly; who will walk in integrity. We are the body of Christ standing before You asking that the deep-seated corruption be exposed and put to flight! Strengthen the Body of Christ and may they be known by their love for one another. God You are not willing that anyone perish, so we pray for the people of Taiwan to be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth, according to 1 Timothy 2:4 in the majestic name of Jesus.
Father, we come before You to stand with other believers who are praying for the Nation of Colombia in Latin America. We say to the mountain of corruption, violence and drugs to be demolished and cast into the sea, in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, bring all parties in Colombia’s conflict to repentance before the Cross of Jesus Christ. We unite with our brothers and sisters praying: “Lord Jesus Christ, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love. Where there is injury, let us offer pardon. Where there is discord, let us build peace. Oh Divine Lord, you taught us that those who work for peace are called the children of God. Help us to persist in establishing justice and truth as firm and lasting foundations of peace. Lord, you offer us peace as a gift and peace as a responsibility that we must realize with your help. Give us the grace to reach out for peace, to have attitudes of peace, that our words may be of peace, and that our works be works of peace. Then may we build the peace that we and our nations need.” (Monsenor Pedro Rubiano Saenz, Cardinal of Colombia and Archbishop of Bogota)
Republic of Colombia…Latin America
Our Father-God we come to stand with our brothers and sisters who live in the nation of Colombia. Father, create within their hearts the desire and the power to be faithful and courageous as they take the Gospel to the Amerindian people. Strengthen Your people as they band together in mutual support, standing shoulder to shoulder in orderly array against the forces of darkness. LORD, You are the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. We ask You to be a wall of fire all around the church leaders who are facing threats from armed groups, and be the glory in their midst. We proclaim that the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh in Colombia shall see it together, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken! Teach us to pray for another, in the name of Jesus!
Prayer for The Union of the Comoros, Africa:
O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none of the population of the Comoros is able to withstand you. We pray that those who worship a false god will have the opportunity to hear the gospel of life that offers hope. Also, we stand with those who have chosen to follow Jesus, and pray their faith will not fail them…give them the wisdom to walk out their faith in a hostile atmosphere. Also standing united in prayer, we ask You to send resources to the leaders of fellowship groups who are training and discipling believers. Strengthen those who lead the fellowship groups, the Christian medical and veterinary workers who have found favor in the Republic and on Mayotte. We believe with them for increased opportunities for witnessing and they will have fruit that remains, to the glory and praise of the King of kings and Lord of lords, King Jesus is His Name!
Prayer for Democratic Republic of Congo (Formerly Zaire),Africa
Father-God, we praise You for the many who paid the price for this harvest of souls in the Congo-DRC. They planted seeds of righteousness, and gave their lives as martyrs for their faith. The sacrifice of thousands of Christians and hundreds of Catholic and Protestant missionaries is the foundation for future harvests. We rejoice with the angels for the salvation of the Pygmy people. When they heard the Gospel, they wanted Jesus, and now You are creating in them a desire to do what Jesus taught, and You are making them to be their child-of-God selves. Holy Spirit, thank You for creating and developing the disciple-making skills within their minds and hearts needed for the work of the ministry. Your grace is sufficient as they resist the predations of slavers, substance abuse and a destructive self-image. Father, we stand with our brothers and sisters asking You to bring repentance, reconciliation and peace to their nation, in the name of Jesus.
